Kendall Brilleman is a counsellor who believes deeply in the power of safety, connection and culturally responsive practice. Over more than a decade in the community sector, I have supported people navigating trauma, addiction, family and domestic violence, identity transitions and complex systemic barriers. My work is shaped by a commitment to trauma‑informed care, cultural humility and social justice. I bring together a range of therapeutic approaches—including person‑centred therapy, attachment‑informed practice, ACT, CBT and somatic principles—to meet each client where they are and support them toward resilience and wellbeing.
My Beliefs
My work is grounded in the belief that every person deserves safety, dignity and the opportunity to heal. I hold a deep commitment to trauma‑informed, culturally responsive and person‑centred practice, recognising that clients are the experts in their own lives and that meaningful change emerges through connection, trust and collaboration.
My practice is shaped by ongoing self‑reflexivity, ethical integrity and a belief in the importance of caring for the wellbeing of both clients and practitioners. I integrate attachment‑informed, somatic, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Narrative therapy and polyvagal‑based approaches, grounded in the belief that healing occurs when people feel seen, heard and supported within a safe and attuned relationship.
